This course offers a brief introduction to Zentyal Server, helping you to understand the context of the project, how to to carry out Zentyal Server installation and how to take the first steps with the system. After the installation process, you will find out how to access the administration interface, what are the basic terms and concepts you need to understand and you are given an introduction to the most basic functionality. You will also learn about the management of updates, logs and how to make a configuration backup.

This course covers the services used by Zentyal to manage the local network infrastructure and to optimize internal traffic. You will learn about the high-level abstractions that are used in the rest of the modules, domain name management, network time synchronization, network auto-configuration, management of the certification authority and management and configuration of the different types of virtual private networks.

This course explains the functionality of Zentyal as a gateway. You will find out how to define content and connection policies, how to manage bandwidth and how to detect threats in internal and external networks, all with the goal of making your network more reliable and secure.

This course covers the functionality of Zentyal as a domain & directory server with native compatibility with MS Active Directory, making possible centralized management of users, groups and computers and file sharing in Windows® environments. After an introduction to Samba, Kerberos and MS AD technologies, you will find out how to configure Zentyal as a standalone server, how to join it to an existing domain and how to perform a total migration of a Windows Server to Zentyal.

This course covers the email and instant messaging services integrated in Zentyal and that make it easy to deploy a communications server in a simple and safe way, with central point for user management. You will learn how to configure Zentyal as a SMTP/POP3-IMAP4 server with webmail and ActiveSync® as well as how to avoid unwanted or dangerous emails.
